Buzz Patterson has been involved in countless organizations helping children and families and knows the value of education. "Education is the great equalizer that has the most upward mobility potential for first generation students. This shut down is hurting underprivileged children the most." .
Attend and tell all your other parents and PTA parents to get the word out. Our numbers are our power.....we have to put in a little bit of time to get some results on this......we can and will get our kids in school sooner than January 1.
Truck drivers, doctors, nurses, grocery store workers, police officers and so many others went back to work. Are teachers saying they are non-essential? They are essential. There is a number of teachers that actually want to go back to work. We need one of them to step up here and lead them to let the district know that the majorly political teacher's union does not speack for all of them. Where are the leaders?
Here are some links of solutions other school districts are doing. Our district needs to not be afraid of what their attorneys are telling them and their teacher's unions. There are so many teachers that want to come back! Anybody want to start a teacher's group that can represent their voice? I bet 3/4 of the teachers want to come back. Children over politics.
Having to hire babysitters, not getting what our taxes are paying for in a learning environment, depression, undo stress leading to abuse, absenteeism, Cost of divorces as a contributing factor, kid's grades or experience declining because of technical issues, obesity and inactivity, domestic abuse and more....all of these things can be proven by professionals who will attest to the psychological breakdown of the family increases. And effecting the poor in the district the most.
We want other school districts to reach out to us to. Galt, San Juan, Rancho Cordova, you're all in the area. We'll send you all our updates as well.
